Mail services
All students living in Wallace Residence Center or the Tower will get their mail from their private mail boxes located in the Down Under Game Room. LLC residents will receive their mail at their private mail boxes across from the LLC 24-hour desk. All on-campus residents will receive a package notification in their mail boxes when packages arrive.
All mail keys must be turned in at the end of the spring semester or at the time you check out of your room; whichever comes first. You may not keep your mail keys over the summer unless you are living here for the summer.

Keys and Locks
Students will be issued a room key or room/suite access on their Vandal cards when they check in to the residence
halls as well as Vandal card access to the exterior building doors. Students should lock their doors at all times.
Students are not permitted to lend room keys and/or Vandal Cards.
Any resident who is locked out of his or her room or building may go to the Living Learning Community (LLC)
24-hour information desk and check out a spare key/temporary access card. After the third lock out of the
semester, the resident may be contacted by a Residence Life staff member to assess the situation and for possible
disciplinary action. Lock out keys not returned on time may result in room locks being changed and the student
being charged for the parts and labor. The Student will be charged $20 for each temporary card that is not
returned on time.
Any resident unable to come to the LLC 24-hour desk may call 208-885-7379 to have a staff member
assist with access to the student’s room or building.
If Students lose their Vandal Card, Students are responsible to immediately report the loss to the Vandal Card
office in the Student Union Building or online at Vandal Web. Once reported lost, the card will be inactivated so
that no one else can use it.
If Students lose their room keys, Students are responsible to immediately report the loss to the LLC 24-hour desk. |

LLC Locks
To assist you in protecting your personal property, you will be provided electronic card access to your suite/room when you check in. In the event that you find yourself locked out of your suite or room, you must go to the LLC 24-hour desk and log into Banner (student registration screen) so the staff can verify who is requesting a temporary card. This temporary card is only good for 24 hours. You must either return the temporary card when you have found your Vandal ID or come to the Vandal Card office and have a new card made with a new access code. After the fifth lock-out of the semester, the resident may be contacted by their Area Coordinator to assess the situation.
The only exception would be if the student just got out of the shower and is not able to reach his/her clothes. In that case only, the AC or RA on duty will let them in and then verify their ID once they have accessed the suite/room. Again the first time is free, but each time after that, there will be a $10 charge.
You will be charged $15 for each lost card, including the temporary card if it is not returned on time.

Locking Drawers
If you live in the Wallace Residence Center or the Tower, you will find two locking drawers. One for each roommate, or if you have an assigned single, you could use both drawers. This drawer could be used for all that you consider valuable (for example: wallets, CDs, credit cards, passports). If the key is not returned at the time you move or change rooms or check out of your room, there will be assessed a lock/key replacement fee. The keys to these drawers should be picked up at the LLC 24-hour desk. |
