The Dean of Students’ Office
 supports the academic mission of the University of Idaho and strives to enhance the personal growth and civic responsibility of students. The Writing Center
 is a resource that all students should be encouraged to use! Students receive one-on-one assistance at the Writing Center.  Students come to the center for help at various stages of the writing process.   The Writing Center will work with any written piece, from essays and reviews to research papers and resumes.  The Writing Center also provides a library of handbooks and style manuals, three student computers, a collection of handouts about writing, and a comfortable place to sit, read, and write.

Tutoring and Academic Assistance Programs assist students in reaching their educational goals at the University of Idaho.  TAAP houses three programs (Tutoring and Learning Services, Student Support Services, and Disability Support Services) designed to provide you with academic services in an accessible, supportive environment. 

Tutoring and Learning Services is the university’s central academic assistance program.  Tutoring and Learning Services can help students find tutors, study skills classes, and study skills refresher workshops.

Student Support Services is designed for first generation and limited-income family students or students who have a disability that impacts them academically.  Student Support Services provides additional services and one-on-one assistance that can make a difference. 

Disability Support Services is designed for students with a temporary or permanent disability, and provides further information about accommodations and campus access.

The Office of Multicultural Affairs seeks to broaden the University of Idaho's commitment to cultural enrichment and academic excellence by maintaining an environment that supports multiculturalism and promotes inclusion.  OMA believes that each member of the University of Idaho community makes a valuable contribution to the intellectual and social culture of the University.

The Women’s Center focuses on issues of concern to women and minorities, holding conferences, having professional programs, networking, and doing work through committees (such as Campus Climate). The Women's Center also supports student groups such as Feminist Led Activist Movement to Empower (FLAME), Body Image Task Force (BITF), Gay Straight Alliance (GSA) and the Justice Alliance. They also have great brown bag lunches, and encourage students to stop by any time.

Athletics: Look into attending a vandal sporting event, or check on scores.

Student Health Services has a number of programs for students including:

• Nutrition counseling
• Student health clinic
• Pharmacy
• University psychiatrist

The Counseling and Testing Center has a staff of full-time psychologists and supervised graduate intern and practicum students. The Counseling and Testing Center offers students access to a wide range of counseling services, resources, and referrals.

The Student Recreation Center was built in 2002, the SRC provides an opportunity for busy students to workout, play, and relax. The building has over 80,000 square feet and includes two full-size gymnasiums, two fitness activity studios, fitness, health & safety classes, an indoor running track (9 laps = 1 mile) locker rooms with saunas, weight training and cardio fitness areas, a circuit training mezzanine, a classroom, a climbing center featuring a 55’ climbing pinnacle, an outdoor program and rental center and cliff’s rock bottom café. 
 
The Associated Students of the University of Idaho is the student government body at the University of Idaho.

Finances and Registering:

Student Accounts has information about charges and billing for student accounts, including fee and tuition charges, room and board charges, family housing charges, and health center charges.

The Vandal Card Office can help with information about Vandal Cards, the University of Idaho identification card. Students meal plans also go on the Vandal Card, and students can also add money to their Vandal Card to be used as a debit card at many locations across campus including the bookstore, copy machines, laundry machines, vending machines, food courts, and many more.

The Office of the Registrar provides service in the areas of registration and student records, and supports academic affairs in a variety of ways, ranging from publication of class schedules and general catalogs to scheduling classroom space.

Financial Aid at the University of Idaho is available to help students and parents finance their education. Although financial aid may not cover all the costs of education, students and parents interested in financial assistance are encouraged to contact the office of Student Financial Aid Services on the UI Campus. Financial aid can be used to cover housing costs as well as other educational costs. A financial aid advisor is available to assist students and parents with the complete financial aid process. Computers:

ResNet is the term used to refer to the residential connections on the University of Idaho campus. The ResNet support team is the department within University Residences charged with the maintenance and support of the ResNet connections. We are here to provide first line support for the students that live on campus with University Residences.

e-Support is part of the University of Idaho's Information Technology Services (ITS). The goal of e-Support is to provide computer assistance for UI faculty, staff, and students 24 hours a day 7 days a week by offering quick access to "self-help" tools, FAQ, contact information, and links to other technical resources.

KUOI is a free-form radio station owned and operated by the students of the University of Idaho. KUOI has been on the air for over 60 years, since October 29th, 1945.

Webcams across campus allow you to see if it is sunny or snowing in Moscow, and see what is going on at your student’s campus.
